When Jatayu first approached us, they shared an exciting vision: to make their entry into the spice market with a product that exuded happiness and warmth. They wanted the packaging to be more than just functional—it needed to feel alive, engaging, and even a little playful.
Their goal was to create a new and joyous offering, with artwork that "tickles" the senses and delights customers at first glance.
Their logo, featuring an intricately illustrated bird, symbolized this spirit perfectly.
Our task was to take that energy and translate it into a complete packaging experience that would stand out on shelves and be instantly recognizable to spice lovers.
THE CHALLENGE
The Jatayu logo—a beautifully illustrated bird—was to remain the centerpiece of the packaging. However, the challenge extended far beyond logo refinement.
While we did clean up the bird illustration for better clarity and cohesion and modernized the typography to match the brand’s vibrant personality, the core challenge lay in creating the correct kind of illustrations and packaging elements.
Our Main task was to take the energy and spirit of the brand and translate it into a complete packaging experience that would stand out on shelves while being instantly recognizable to spice lovers. This required careful exploration of illustration styles, color palettes, and design elements to balance creativity with functionality.

THE APPROACH
Illustration Style Exploration:
We experimented with various illustration styles to capture the vibrant energy and cultural essence that spices represent. The final design emphasized bold, lively visuals that complement the logo’s bird motif.
Shelf Appeal and Functionality:
We wanted the final designs to stand out on a shelf, ensuring they immediately captured attention. At the same time, it was crucial that the packaging was easily identifiable—not just for the brand logo but also for the type of spice. To achieve this, we carefully selected the colors, illustrations, and accompanying design elements for each variant, ensuring clarity and visual harmony.
Typography Refinement:
The typography was modernized to enhance readability and align with the fresh, dynamic vibe of the brand.

4. Integration of Logo and Design:
The bird illustration remained front and center, serving as the hero of the design. Every element—from the labels to the packaging details—was crafted to highlight this focal point, creating harmony between the brand identity and product presentation.
